Oh how she loved this time of day. Night time, she always hated it when she was a vampire - only because she was forced to live at night. Here she could do what ever the hell she wanted to do. Or most of the time. Angela always seemed to forget she were human now, and such things as sleep was something she needed. Her brothers being all protective of her now shape was annoying, acting like she could protect herself? Like how dared they even question her ability to say alive? Angela walked down the grey streets, and knew she wasn't save being out this late. She knew that, but she didn't care. She was confident, and she didn't care about what other people might think of her. If the demons wanted her old soul, or the vampires wanted the blood that ran in her veins. Angela wore this black dress, that fit her slender body perfectly. The black coat was covering it, so she wouldn't get sick, that was the worse.. she could get a cold. How fragile a human was. It wasn't like was moving around to be quite, the sound of her heels was enough, to make anyone sure, that someone was walking here. The dark hair was curled and moved elegant around as she walked - almost like a dance, and so soft they looked. Angelas blue eyes analyzed her surroundings, with a face almost made of stone - but jet she seemed more like a creature of the night then a human. Maybe it was just the attitude? She wasn't a snob, she was more like a woman who didn't give a shit about anything. That was quite true, she didn't care about many things, the most important thing to her had been herself for centuries. And Angela knew she was selfish and arrogant, that was not a secret - not at all.
A scream behind her made her turn around. She could feel her heart skip a beat, but not because she was afraid. Because what was fear? She didn't even know what she feared the most. Slowly she walked closer by, where the scream came from. Old instincts told her it was a vampire attack, and she was right. The body of a woman, possible human - just laid there - dead. Angela took a deep breath as she knew, she was in the war zone.
"I always thought vampires had taste, why take people who wear silly jewelry? I mean, if you took the rich humans - you would get more out of it," she said as stood still. The weight was on her left hip, and she sure looked like she knew what she was talking about - sure she actually did. 2500 years, somethings you learned faster then others. "But then again, not all people are geniuses like me - so I don't blame you," she added as she turned to the hunter.

There were many things that Vergile were proud of in his life. He had had a pretty good life, actually. Middle class parents that had given him nothing but opportunities. What more could there have been, that he could possibly ask? Well, besides being taken off the streets against his will by a vampire, dragged off to some mansion to be locked up in a cage like an animal. Fed blood while his own was taken until he would undergo the painful transformation from human to vampire. It was safe to say that Vergile had a lot of pent up anger that was only added to, the longer his life was on the level of a slave’s.
Once in a while he’d be lucky and be allowed out on his own. Of course on the premises that he’d come back like a good underdog. And he didn’t dare to not comply, because he knew that she had eyes everywhere. He wouldn’t get far before she’d be over him again, dragging him back to his prison of a home. So it was all about enjoying this limited time of being free, blow off some of the pent up steam.
He felt hungry anyway. So his upcoming task was already set. Find, conquer and feed. He walked down the streets, going into a different part of the district, a more closed one. Here he could at least kill some petty human and have it go unnoticed. Lavender had taught him some decent methods. But he was more into exploiting and experiment with his new ability. The streets were empty. The people of the district knew not to go here at night, for the children of the night fed here. All except one human female, fairly pretty dressed but he could see that she was not of these parts.
Maybe a nightly visit with a lover? The jewellery wasn’t of any high costs, so he assumed that she was safe prey. He walked up to her, turning in front of her with a charming smile on her face. “Goodevening ms.” He greeted her with a kiss on the hand. The woman was startled by his sudden approach but quick to blush by the kiss of his. He looked into her eyes, unlocking her as a target for his ability. But his smile quickly faded as he suddenly got a different expression, his eyes lightly glowing in a colour of red. It didn’t take long before the woman started gasping, grabbing her stomach in disbelief as her heart started pounding in a panic. She struggled to scream due to the sudden pain but it didn’t take long.
A long painful scream left her lips as she fell onto her knees, pleading for the pain to stop. That’s when he grabbed her by the throat, lifting her up in the air with a huge grin on his face, making her watch as his fangs grew in length, licking his front teeth with a playful smile. Then he let go of her, but followed her fall to grab her shoulder with the same hand, the other grabbing her hair as he dug his teeth into the skin of her neck, not caring much for tearing her apart. He fed on her like a starved animal which he wasn’t, but it made her screams that more agonizing.
He let go of her when she was at the brink of life, letting her weak body fall to the cold asphalt, exhaling in a satisfied breath. Then he heard a voice behind him which made him fall out of his animalistic state. He turned as he pulled out a handkerchief, wiping the woman’s blood off his mouth area. What she said made him chuckle. “That’s quite interesting coming from a human like themselves, Ms.” He simply replied. He tilted his head as his eyes wandered from the human’s feet to her face, there was something about her that he couldn’t quite shake off. “And since when have humans ever caught a taste for one-another’s blood? If you mind me asking?” he said in a calm tone. They were both in luck that he had just finished a meal, otherwise she would have been the one that he had been trying to feed on.

Unlike most humans, she looked like she was use to see what happened in front of her. It didn't seem to bother her that he drained a human body, not at all. Because it didn't matter to her. It was more like she was drawn to it, maybe because it had been such a big part of her life. A part there suddenly was taking away from her, but anyway - she didn't want to get turned into a vampire. Maybe after she had enjoyed the small things the human life could get her, like walking outside in the sun. That’s quite interesting coming from a human like themselves, Ms. The smiles she came with as he spoke, was quite interesting.
"Trust me, I am an interesting person," she pointed out with a little smirk. Angela had no trouble complimenting herself, which was very different how people took - some just got very annoyed at her for it - but like she gave damn about that. And since when have humans ever caught a taste for one-another’s blood? If you mind me asking? Angela tilted her head a little to the side, as a cocky smile was showing of from her lips. She took a step closer towards him, and looked him in the eyes.
"Well.. that, is for me to know," she said with a charming voice as she smiled to gentle - like a devil dressed like a human just to play a game, "and for you to.. dot dot dot," she added as a reply to his question. It was not something she wanted to tell a stranger, or was it? Would it matter? Telling him she was born a hybrid, that died and turned to a vampire as the human side died.. then she was killed again.. and her spirit sadly chose to possess a human? Rather a human then being dead, right?
"But something I do want to know, is why would a human not taste human blood? I don't look sadistic enough, or does my beautiful face cover it up that good?" She asked out in the blue, not that it mattered. Nicolas would tell her to walk away if he was here, to make her stop doing this. Standing so close to something that could make her stop breathing so fast. If the vampire wanted, he could drain her from blood like he did with the other woman.
"Stay close by, I might just tell you my little secret," she added with a soft tone with an almost like she wanted to drawn him like a wave to the shore. Playing with fire had always been her specialty - and she wasn't afraid to move closer to the danger zone.

As she stepped closer to him he heard her heart clearer and clearer. He was wondering why she wasn’t afraid. For some reason, he knew that she was drawing him in, yet he was giving into it. A reversed way of a prey drawing the predator in – A very dumb move. But a move that wasn’t exactly new to him, the danger that lied in it. All he had to do was slash her throat and she would be dead. A dangerous game of putting your head in the lion’s mouth, hoping that it won’t separate it from your neck.
He listened to her as she spoke, smiling as his teeth retracted back into their original state, making him seem rather harmless. He tilted his head as the drawing effect became more and more efficient. Her question made him laugh, such words had never been heard before. There had to be some reason behind it, maybe she used to be a vampire or at least a creature that fed on humans alike. “I suppose you could bring sadism into it, depending on what the word taste means to them. Of course, for me it would be the nutritional part, keeping me alive. But it’s not a bad thing to be able to play with food. The forbidden part of making your meal plead for it's life, as if it ever had a choice to when you first laid your eyes upon them, dooming them the very second you feel hungry.” He said as he himself stepped closer to her.
Soon he was very close to her, pinching his eyes as he awaited this “secret”. It was almost like he had fully given into her, letting her wrap him around her little finger. But it would not be that simple. If she were to touch him, he’d step away, avoiding it with his vampire speed, stepping a few steps back as he grinned widely, shaking his head for almost losing dropping all guards against her.
But if she didn’t, he would stand there, so close that they almost touched each other, yet far enough for them not to. He shifted his look from one eye to the other, trying to figure out what this “secret” could be. Either choice didn’t matter, it was only a matter of where he would be positioned in the matter. He looked at her as he then said:” You’re playing a dangerous game Ms. Somehow I admire them for the fearlessness I find in your heart, yet I doubt that your stubbornness let you get a grip on the reality of this certain situation” he then finished with his always so charming way of speaking. It was like his voice was uttered symphony of words, by the end of a dark mysterious voice.
“Had I not just fed on that poor soul dying on the asphalt as we speak… That could have been them. Does that scare thee? Or does it make it all that more exciting?” he asked in a low charming voice. He finished off with an unreadable smile.

So close she could hear death laughing at her, but then again she had the devil in her hands - it excited her. Angela didn't touch him, she could - but she didn't. She would hate ruining the moment. So close, she could almost smell the blood from the victim - the smell didn't bother her. As a hybrid, she was use to not always loving the smell - but few centuries later it didn't seem as something to worry about anymore. The human needed to adjust it a little, but only a little. You’re playing a dangerous game Ms, her eyes lighted a little up with a cocky sparkle. She loved it, as she hated herself a bit for it. Angela had this second chance to do anything with her life - and she chose to stand here in a zone where she could end up dead - again. Fear wasn't something she knew much of, she only been afraid few times in her life. Now the reason to be afraid wasn't really anything that mattered. The vampire had her with his mysterious voice and charming ways of talking to her. Angela didn't look away from him, her blue eyes was locked on his. That could have been them. Does that scare them? Or does it make it all that more exciting? She giggled a little as he spoke.
"You could have, it could be me. But it wasn't, so it doesn't scare me - it does make the timing a little more exiting, just a tiny bit," she replied tilted her head a little to the left, " I also know fear does taste the best. Why pick a prey that wouldn't be scared of your fangs?" She asked with a little cheesy smirk. She didn't mean for him to answer her, just maybe make him think over her words.
Angela couldn't get closer, or she could - but the near touch was not for her to plant. They just stood there, gazing into each others eyes. There was no turning back from his, she couldn't just talk away - not that she indented to walk away from this - it was far to interesting.
"Is your mind wrapping around theories yet? How does she knows all these things? I can tell you one thing, the other you will have to wait a little for," she said lifting one finger in the air, not more then few centimeters from his cheek - almost able to feel the cold skin, but at the same time not at all. " I have everything I want - or I'm about to. Because I'm spoiled.. and selfish. I want revenge for something that happened, and I will get that." The tone of her voice was rather calm, but with a touch of danger and a little darkness. She smiled at him.
"But don't worry, you will be safe from it - not gonna hurt that pretty face of yours," she added with a little teasing spark in her eyes. She talk almost like she was the predator and he was the pray. Maybe she seemed stupid but everything was planned out. She knew almost everything that happened along the way, maybe this wasn't a part of it - but she would rather talk her way out then use her ability. He didn't seem like someone she wanted to fill with fear other then if their little chemistry thing changed.

“Does it excite them? Watching her die… Bleed out on the asphalt, clinging onto the small ropes of life that are at their breaking point... So pointless... Yet so exciting. Do you feel her death within you as well?” he suddenly asked, looking back at the now dead human, just to look back at her. His eyes with sparking with something unknown, yet so known. The many effects of the enjoyment from taking another persons life, how Vergile cherished every death he had taken part in. In his circumstances, cherishing was all he had, that and the memories of his kills. But this was different, meeting this human. He knew how easy it would be to kill her, yet killing her would seem meaningless. Why? Why did he not want to kill her? It made him feel ever so mysteriously drawn to her. Her way of knowing things, yet all she was, was a simple human?
“My mind is wrapping around a lot of things… The biggest mystery must be the inhumane beauty I see in your shine… So dark…. Drawing me nearer… Making me… not want to take thee’s life. How so? How has the role of the predator and prey switched, making me stop myself from tearing you apart?” He said as he tilted his head, looked at her eyes as he almost felt her finger, at least the warmth of it. This game of no touching was building an unknown tension within Vergile, making him want to break it – Rip it apart till they would become inseparable. Why?
When she assured his safety, a playful smile went across his face. He took the step further, be the one who broke this invisible wall between them and placed his hands gently on her face, the skin to skin contact, cupping it in such a loving manner as he was only a small lean away from her face. That was all it would take for their lips to meet, such a playful thought yet with so much underlying tension.
He looked her in the eyes as he vaguely bit his lower lip with a big grin. “But what if I want them to hurt me? Make me feel something.. A little pain never hurt me.. It intrigues me, the sensation of nerves breaking, the ecstasy in the chemicals flooding the brain, screaming for defence” he teased her as his eyes danced down her face to her lips. All this talk filled with tension was getting to him, almost losing himself to it, yet he kept his stance and regained some of his control. So he let go of her, stepping back, letting the tease hang in the air as his eyes observed her with an inviting gaze.
“Lead the way ms. Take me away with your beauty and charm, mortal… yet not so mortal. Let us play this game of reversed roles and see where it will bring us. Who knows? We might experience an adventure that may never be forgotten.” He invited her, reaching out his arm with an open palm for her to take. He knew that he was caught, his will was in her hands – For the time being at least.

Angela slightly licked her lips as he talked about death. She loved this game, having no idea where things would go - and wasn't that what was most fun?
"I don't care about human or their silly little lives," again she spoke as if she wasn't a human. But was she? A human, her soul surely wasn't - half dead because of her vampire part and half alive because of the human part. "What do you enjoy most? The begging for mercy as you drain them empty.. or the fear in their eyes as they realize you will become their death?" She asked with a more whispering tone, as she didn't take her eyes from him - even as he looked at the human. Angelas eyes was locked on Vergile, and she couldn't really bring herself to move them - why? She wasn't the only one having this mysterious energy - energy like that was never really one-sided, but then again, what was this energy? How so? How has the role of the predator and prey switched, making me stop myself from tearing you apart? The tension was hard to fight, in her whole life she had never felt anything like this. The wall was to break, but she didn't break it.
"Maybe because I can be your worst nightmare," she whispered in a mysterious vocal. Knowing her ability this would make much more sense, but right know that was another secret for another day. Angela looked at his playful smile, but didn't move much - her heart relived she wasn't scared at all. Didn't it bother him? That she wasn't afraid, not that she would want to bother him - she liked where this was going, whatever this was. Then he broke the wall, took her by a surprise and smashed the wall between them like it was glass. The touch, the cold skin touched her warm soft skin. Angela would hate to admit she liked it, the way he hold her face - no one ever really had done it that way before. Maybe that was what she found so exiting when it came to him - there was something special about this vampire, and she couldn't seem to put words into it. The way he leaned his face a little closer to hers, made the tension even harder to fight. She would feel her lips waned to touch his, they screamed for it shortly. Angela had to think which didn't was something she wanted to at this point, she just wanted to breathe and live a little. But what if I want them to hurt me? As those words were said, she looked him a little deeper in the eyes.
Then it happened, he took his eyes away from hers - made her heart skip one beat. Just one single little beat, not sure if he noticed it - but she sure did. Angela could feel herself fall into it, one step at the time.
"What if it would take your life? For real this time," she asked with the same kind of mysterious voice. She didn't know who to thank when Vergile took a stop back. Not because the tension between them ran out in the sand - it was still there, but the air between them made it harder to resist the danger. Was it weird saying she felt a little colder after he took a step back, like the touch didn't make her freeze - but somewhere in her broken heart, he had made her feel more than just broken. It took her few seconds to put her shield back up. The way he communicated with her without words made it rather easy for her. Let us play this game of reversed roles and see where it will bring us. The little half smirk sneaked back on her lips, as she titled her head a little.
"Any time with will never be forgotten, it can promise you that," she confessed rather confident. She moved her eyes shortly down looking at his palm - open for her to take - all it took was for her to move. Angela took his hand, felt the skin against hers again - felt the same way. How she hated that she liked it. It was up to her where they should go, but she didn't feel like she could show the little tiny place she lived. Maybe she was lucky Nicolas wasn't home, then she could take Vergile there? There was also champagne and food - but what if Andrea was there or Gemma? Angela didn't really want them to gossip to her brother - not when he had this overprotective thing hanging around his neck lately - funny how it took him 2000 years to care for her.
Angela changed her mind, she didn't want to go there. The trouble wouldn't be worth it. The music from the club nearby made her smile a little brighter.
"First thing.. you should call me Angela.. Angie.. Angel.. what you like. I want you to come and dance with me," she said pulled him a little closer as she stopped on the way. Her chest touched his only a little, but enough. The playful look in her eyes as she smiled at him, not moving just to tease him just a little. They she forced herself to stop, still holding his hands. Angela had always been a party girl, since she met Aeron at least - there was nothing better then dancing the night away while finding the perfect prey. This time she wouldn't be after a prey or that what was people would think. Angela had to find a new thing to feed on so fear became her newest addiction.
"Now you shall see how a true predator harvest souls, out of pure fear," she told looked at him with a very charming look. As she stepped inside the club, she took a look around. It didn't take her long before she chose her victim for the night. Victim a human who wanted to harvest a soul. The killing instinct was never really something she could give up, just because she was human?
"Watch this," she whispered. Angela even forgot she still was holding the vampires hand. Her eyes was locked on a person. It was easy to see the first few seconds, that something hit him. Angela linked his brain to her powers, activated the fear - making it harder for the poor guy to focus.
"Can you hear his heart racing? Every nerve in his body tense up with fear - as he tries to find the source," she whispered but didn't took her eyes from the guy. That would just ruin the fun. The target seemed to have trouble breathing as he looked at her, but he was so full of fear he couldn't speak. People around him tried to calm him down, but Angela was one step ahead of them. Triggering the man killing instinct he grabbed a woman around her neck a with all the power he had from his fears - he killed her.. he started killing people around him ,because all he saw was his demons. When he was done with the little group, Angela took her eyes from him and looked at Vergile.
"Amazing isn't it?" The best part was now. The guy covered in blood, no idea what he had done - all he could feel was the fear still haunting him - the strong emotion that made him wanting to die.
