Sv: Can ex-doctors heal a broken mind? Guess it's worth a try - Nicholas
And there was a question he was used to. Every time his procedures didn't go well, every time he lost a patient. There was always someone telling him what he did wrong, how he wasn't fit to be a doctor. "Wasn't he supposed to help those in need?" He knew that not every patient would survive, that something every doctor had to realize. But it didn't mean he forgot any of them, he still carried all their deaths on his back. Before he could think more she started to wriggle in pain. It was clear that they weren't in sync with each other, they were wrestling for control.
"It's alright Lucile, i understand her anger, I'm not taking it personally." Truth was he took it a bit personally, not because of Lucy, but because of the last thing she said. It was true, he was supposed to relieve pain, and not being able to do so increased his self loathe. What was the point of doing what he did, if it didn't bring anything good? Then came the question he knew he wouldn't be able to avoid, he knew what she meant the second she said it. And it hit him hard, what a hypocrite he had been, "Problems wont go away just because you don't talk about them...." It's what he had been doing all these years. But not now, if he wanted them to share their past it was only fair he'd do the same for them. "Her name was Isabel.. She was everything important in my life. She was such a good person, too good for this place.. and I'm the reason she's no longer here.." He can't look her in the eyes as he talks, maybe it was shame, maybe he didn't want to see her pity him, either way, he couldn't look up. He realized this conversation would be hard on both of them the direction it was heading.

Even though he tried to ease Lucile’s torment on Lucy, she wouldn’t stop the pain just yet. Lucy being spiteful wasn’t going to make things better, even Lucile knew that. So she had to set her foot down and punish Lucy, just to make sure that she’d be more careful when spitting out remarks next time. Lucile did also care for Nicholas, so it was not like she was going to let Lucy insult him just like that. When the pain was relieved, Lucy massaged her temples while groaning angrily. She didn’t have to repeat the question to him, because she knew that he would remember.
She listened to him but somehow he managed to make her even more angry. She stood up and flipped his cup off the table before she grabbed his jaw and made him look at her:” You’re the reason? Exactly how can you be the reason? Don’t give me some ‘I couldn’t save her’, because that’s just a bunch of shit.” she said angrily even though she’d feel better about yelling. However yelling at him wouldn’t exactly help anything now, would it? She frowned at him shortly before letting go of his jaw.
“Unless you were the one who killed her… Doubt it.” her voice seemed to be a bit confused, but more in the sense that she would not believe that he would be able to do such a thing. It just didn’t seem like something he could do, at least from what she had observed. She shook her head and sat down on the chair. It was her turn now. But he had to ask the question for her to answer. However she couldn’t let his answer go just yet:” I know it’s a human thing to do, and quite frankly I’ll never understand. However, holding onto the past because you miss someone, doesn’t bring them back. If she was your everything, then her memory shouldn’t be cherish by self loathing, addiction and guilt. Would she want that for you?” she said. This was about the most humane thing that Lucy had ever said, and it might’ve also been the one and only to ever say.

What she said made him furious, not at her, but at himself, he quickly got on his feet, making the chair fall back as he leaned on the table and started yelling "You don't think i know that!?" Slamming his fist down on the table, making his knuckles bleed, ever so slightly from the wounds it created. Exhaling, trying to calm down, he leans of the table, turns around and starts moving his hand around his head. "I know it wont bring her back, i made peace with that a long time ago, its not about that.. Its the fact that she died because of me, and even putting that aside, i should have been with her, the final moment, i should have had my goodbye, relieved her of pain, done what a good doctor would do.. but instead, i tore her apart.. treating her like a carcass.."He stopped, the more he talked about it the more the memories flashed at him, reminding him of what he did, he looked down at his arm, it started itching. Why did she care so much about this? She didn't seem like the type to care what others did, as long as it didn't evolve her or Lucile. The more he got to know her, the more he saw her as a human, maybe more so than him. There was a lot of truth to what she told him, but again, it was never that simple, he always tried making the best out of the situation, but there was times he just couldn't control how things went.
He turns around after a few breaths, looks at the chair for a second before picking it up and sitting down. "I'm sorry, i let my anger get the best of me." It was his time to ask the question, would be good to change topic as well, giving him some breathing room. "So, Lucy, what aren't you telling me about your past?" Anxiously awaiting her response to his question.

His outburst of anger didn’t surprise Lucy because it was what she wanted, yet it still made her more cautious and wary of him. She pinched her eyes together in a precautious look before she returned back to normal. However, Lucile was taken by surprise from it, hearing him yell had scared her. So it was only him and Lucy now:” You scared her. Good job.” She mumbled in an irritated yet relieved tone. Now she could speak freely. She listened to him as he spoke yet all she could do was shake her head. Noticing that he looked at his arm, she moved closer to him before she put her hand over where he was looking while speaking:” Even if… you didn’t help her, it doesn’t mean her death is on you. Have you looked around the streets here? Such thing as good or evil doesn’t exist here.” She looked down at her hand, yet the memory of a restraint made her see a leather strap around her arm. Unlike Lucile, she chose to ignore it and looked up at Nicholas.
“It’s good. She’s gone. Hopefully some of that anger relieved some tension in that human heart of yours” she said while poking his chest to remark her statement. She turned her back at him and went around for a little walk around the room as she gave the question some thought:” I don’t have a past.” She stated, turning to him from across the room:” I am… non-existent. Just a part of Lucile’s brain that activates when she’s in danger.” Her face wouldn’t give away the sorrow that lied behind those words, but the voice couldn’t hide it. She turned to the fireplace and stared at the burned logs.
“I wish that I had been alive… Like the rest of you. And not just some… more like a part of a personality.. Lucy? I don’t even have a real name. I was given the name by Lucile. Before I learned to take control, I only got to observe through her eyes. I liked to imagine myself being a second her in the mirror.” She stopped herself from talking, mostly because she was starting to get on a rambling path. She grabbed a little piece of coal from the fireplace and turned it in her hand. So fragile it was, she let it slide down her fingers in the palm of her hand before she crushed it to dust with her fingers.
She looked back at him and frowned shortly before speaking:” You cannot ask Lucile about her dreams, her past, not anything at all, that would make her remember anything.” then she got up and walked towards him. She stopped in front of him, staring into his eyes again:” She may seem like a strong person. But she is very much driven by her emotions and…. The fucking empathy. I have to spend so much time on shielding her, because I know that she’d cease to function. And if she stops working, I will stop working too.” She warned him with a serious look.
"Anyyywayyyy. My turn." she said as she turned around again. She sat down on the table and looked at her hands, fishing for a question to ask. But most of the good questions, or good in her own mind, were already asked. She turned her head to Nicholas before she smiled:" I can't think of anything right now. You get to ask another question."

"You really don't know your past, do you? You had your own body before you were two, whether you remember it or not, two souls in the same body is not possible unless someone makes it happen. You may have lost your memories, but they always have a funny way of coming back to you. As long as you have patience." he said with pure conviction, no doubt in his voice. "And if it can be done, it can be undone" a bit more unsure. She looks at him as she spoke and he could tell she was dead serious about it. Did she really have that little faith in Lucile, she knew her a lot better than he did, but to him it just seemed like she treated her as child all the time, not capable of doing anything by herself. And even if that was true, it was Lucy's fault, instead of teaching her and letting her learn from the world, she had locked her away and done everything for her.. And that at the end, was she afraid that Lucile would have a breakdown and remove Lucy from her mind? It wouldn't be that simple, as powerful as a demon might be, actually destroying a soul had to be beyond their power right? He understood she said it as a warning or a threat, so he wasn't going to comment on it, but he would not heed it. He was still going to ask Lucile about it at some point. He didn't believe anything that bad would come of it. "I get it, though you should try out empathy, i think it would suit you" There was no real reason he said that other than trying to get a reaction out of her.
It was time for her question this time, and he was curious to what it would be. She had managed to hit sore spots with every question so he prepared for the worst. Was it about when he worked at the field hospital when the necromancer attacked? Maybe about the big gash on his back, where he nearly died? Nah, couldn't be, she had no knowledge about either of those, how could she. The question left him surprised, there was none. She let him have another go first. It was clear she didn't know more about her past so there was no reason asking about it, however, she might know something else he was curious about. "What do you know about Lucile's sister? Blue eyes, pink hair, cold personality, ring a bell? After all, she was the one that sent Lucile here right?" He knew she would know who she was, so he was curious to see if she would lie or tell the truth, not that she had any reason to lie, right?

She crossed her arms, a bit irritated that she couldnt find a question. Yet she'd rather have him ask another, than stopping the game completely. She waited patiently on his next question. And then he asked her about Moon. She clenched her teeth shortly, neither Lucile or Lucy particulary liked their new sister, but it was purely because family for them meant something else, something horrible. She scratched her eyelid while looking at the ground:" Moon. Thats her name. She has connections everywhere and to top it off, her dad, who isnt our dad, is a general for an army in Dragons Peak. She knows almost everyone's dirty deeds.. for her, information is like currency." she said with a bitterness in her tone. She turned her head to Nicholas:" She must've known about you due to all your patients in this area. Her... network resolves around the poor and needy." She looked ahead of her before exhaling a deep sigh.
"She is like us but different. Her second 'person' is really just a darker side of herself. I guess it's a family thing." she said while turning her head to him. After a while she got a very confused expression on her face when she realized that his question were about her sister. How did he know about her and how much DID he know about her? She turned to him, tilting her head slightly to one side as she asked:" How do you know about her? Has she been here?" with a rather anxious voice. It was clear that she didnt feel very comfortable around Moon and not knowing what she was up to frankly scared Lucy out of her mind.
But she didnt want to project the topic towards her being scared so she thought of something quick to change the topic, which might've been said a little too fast:" Do you have any patients to treat today?" a smile tried to coverup the topic change but her eyes told him not to dig further into the old topic.

"Moon?" he said to himself, thinking back. The name sounded familiar to him, as if he had heard it somewhere else before. He knew of the general but couldn't remember his name. He noticed she didn't seem to care for Moon, there was something there, in her tone. "Yea, maybe.." So she found him through his patients, not likely, why would she remember some random doctor in this district. It's like she said "She knows everyone's dirty deeds" She knew didn't she? She had heard about what happened all those years ago. But then why send her sister here, to him? It didn't make much sense to him. She was a demon as well then, but different to them? A darker second person, She still believed that she was just a part of Lucile.. He tried to think of what type of demon Moon could be but he wasn't that versed in demons, so that would require research at some point.
He saw she was curious to how he knew about her, and probably what he knew about her. She acted really strange, like she didn't want to know the answer, and changing the question as well. Did he really discover something that frightened Lucy? Was that even possible? "You're afraid of her aren't you?" Looking curiously at her, ignoring her second question entirely "I'll tell you how i know her, if you first tell me what makes you fear her" This had really caught his interest, what was it about Moon? Was Lucile afraid of her too? Was she a danger to them? He had to know more, if not for himself, but for their safety. Thinking of Lucile, he wondered how long she would be gone, hoping he didn't scare her too bad, still feeling guilty Lucy managed to push him that far. And because of what happened only a few moments ago, he knew how she felt, if that was not just Lucy playing with him. Hard to tell, she was hard to read at times..

She really didnt like talking about Moon. It wasnt because Moon was any different - she wasnt. But for Lucy and Lucile, family and blood relatives only meant danger and disappointment. She had only been neglected and abandoned by all the family she was supposed to trust and love. Even jer actual parents didn't want her, and somehow, knowing that was a devastating thought. Not that it had actually ever happened to Lucy, but it was Lucile's past - which meant Lucy's as well.
Him poking around in the topic even though she tried to stop it, made her angry. She got up and grabbed him by the collar, glaring down at him:" I'm not afraid of anybody. Except... one.. but if you ever mention him, I swear to god, I will delete you from Lucile's memory and we'll be gone forever.." she warned him. She looked at her hands holding his collar before she looked at him:" Lucile wants to come back." she stated before she collapsed into his arms, if he did manage to catch her after the quick warning. A bit of a dramatic way to give up the body, but somehow she liked the outcome.
Lucile opened her eyes, looking up at Nicholas before smiling a little bit:" Hi. You were a bit... scary.. but I could understand why. Dont feel bad for scaring me. I'm not scared now," she said with a peaceful tone. She was practically behaving as if she had just awoken from a nap. She rubbed her eyes a bit tiredly but she wasnt moving from his arms just yet. Only till she realized, by looking up at him - her heart started pounding in her chest. She then got up and cleared her throat shortly before apologizing:" Sorry.. sorry.. I didnt realize..." she mumbled, staring at the ground, thinking about what to do.

He grip loosened, Was she calming down? No, it was Lucile, she had come back. Before he could think about it she went numb and he barely caught her within his arms, not that it would matter if he didn't, she would just fall into his lap. Seemed she had less control over the transfer than she usually did, but maybe that was in his head, just felt different this time. As she woke up she greeted him with a smile, to which he just had to smile back "Glad you're alright, I'm sorry about my outburst earlier, i shouldn't have let that happen" He held around her shoulder as she seemed to wake up, trying to think of what to say, but couldn't think of anything, all he knew is that this felt nice, peaceful, and as she looked back up to him his heart started to pound again like earlier. His feelings for her was flooding back into his head. She seemed to be a bit embarrassed to how she woke up, which just made him smile even more. "You have nothing to be sorry about Lucile" As he reached out for her hand, gently pulling her close to him, his breath gets heavy as he places his hand on her neck, slowly moving it up to her jawline. He lifts his head up to hers closing his eyes, softly kissing her upper lip. His hand holding hers slowly moves up her arm, up to the other cheek. His heart is working overtime, his mind is solely focused on her, nothing else in the world matters right now. He had no idea he could feel this way about anyone.

"You have nothing to be sorry about Lucile" he said but before she could answer with another vague excuse of hers, she felt his hand close around her hand as he pulled her closer. Of pure instinct, she placed her free hand on his chest, to which she'd normally push the person away, but she didnt want to push Nicholas away. So she kept her hand there, while her breath slowly deepened as her heart started pounding in her chest. She could feel his chest as well, how this was also affecting him. It gave her some sort of confidence, knowing that she wasnt alone in feeling this way, it was... safer, with him.
Every touch she felt from him, his hands, his being, made her tummy spin around itself, but in a way that made her crave more of it. The touch on her neck, the jaw, the hand on his chest grasped around the fabric of his shirt as she feels his lips against hers. At this point she wasnt sure if her heart was going to stop or burst but she knew that she wanted more, closing her eyes to feel the intensity of the kiss. Her needy cravings came to show when she kissed him back, softly locking her lips around his bottom lip for a split second. She then kissed him again, this time a bit more intense, but that was solely her giving into her instincts. Her now free hand found it's way to be on top of his as she opened her eyes to look at him. "Nicholas..." she whispered under her heavy breath. She let go of his hand and used the hand on his chest to push him against the nearest wall, removing all space between them, being so close that she had to move her hand away. She looked at him for a short while, awaiting his reaction with eager eyes.

Their eyes meet as he hears his name under her breath, but before he could open his mouth she pushed him against the wall moving all the way in on him. Her body and his were together, they were one, he felt her warmth pressing up against him. He looked her in the eyes, and could tell she was into this as much as him, craving more from each other. He lets out a quick pant as his mouth formed a grin, his arms wrapped around her back as he moved in for her lips again, this time more intense, trying to match her pace. Being with her felt like a drug, the ecstasy wouldn't stop, which was good because he had no intentions of letting it end any time soon. His arms moves slowly down her back, it was like he had to have more at the same time, his hands stop between her butt and thighs, gently massaging as his kissing moves down to focus her lower lip, after a few seconds of pure pleasure feeling her lips move along with his, he slows down for one last kiss, hooking his teeth on her lower lip, gently biting it, dragging it slightly out before he lets go, looking her in the eyes with the grin on his face.
His hands form a grip on her thighs as he lifts her up, turning around and pinning her against the wall. He looks at her with a lustful expression "I just can't get enough of you..." He goes in for her upper neck, starting slow with kissing her, pressing his lips on her neck he felt he was loosing more and more control, his primitive instincts got more hold of him, like a starved vampire finally getting a fresh neck, there was more tension in his kisses, he started using his teeth more the lower he got on her neck, not leaving a single spot untouched. He hadn't noticed it, but during this time he had let out pants and heavy breathing, work of the over beating heart no doubt. He has not felt this alive in a very, long time.

His hands grabbing her thighs, lifting her up, switching their position, she felt the slight cold wall against her back but it didnt matter. She was all focused on him now, all that mattered to her was him and his movements. She listened to him and it made her grin lightly, as her hand moved up from his shoulder to the back of his neck and up in his hair, feeling the tingling of his hair between her fingers.
Her hand followed his head, knowing what was coming next, she was ready to feel more of him. "I feel the same..." she confirmed in a soft lowered voice. Feeling his lips against her neck send shivers down her spine and once again she closed her eyes to intensify the sensation of his kisses, but as soon as she felt his teeth, she let out a surprised gasp, yet nowhere near of indicating that he should stop. Her hand in his hair pressed the back of his head softly as an indicator of her wanting more.
Lucy however, did not approve of this. To her this was the biggest weakness, but Lucile was so focused, that Lucy had no power. But she couldnt zone her out completely. She lifted his jaw to face her before she leaned in for a soft, pasionate kiss on his lips, yet she looked away with a sad expression on her face. She didnt want to be a moodkiller, but she wasnt sure that she could follow through. Her hand went up from his jaw to his cheek, before she wrapped it around his neck with her free arm closing around his back. "I'm... sorry..." she whispered shortly before hiding her face in his shoulder. Her shoulders were still trembling after his bites and kisses and stopping him just made her feel awful.
"I'm... not ready to go further.." she mumbled through the fabric of his shirt, her hand on his back grasping his shirt as a slight feeling of regret rolled through her. Lucy however was satisfied by all this:" You cannot show him the scars." She told Lucile in their mind, which angered Lucile a little bit. "I cant show him the scars?" she repeated angrily, clearly upset by Lucy's words. She looked up at Nicholas and let him go:" Nicholas... take off my shirt..." she commanded him, but not in a way that would make him feel forced to abide her. However if he did take off her shirt, she'd look away as her upper body was revealed.
Not only was she extremely skinny, but she had multiple scars, most of them being symmetrical as if they were pre-planned in place. Her arms had the worst scars, looking at one arm there would be a scar, or more like a gauge on her upper arm, clearly placed there to detatch her deltiod muscles from her arm. Longer down, another scar, indicating struggle from the uneven grissly scar. Both arms had the same scars at the same places, yet only the right had the struggling scar, either from struggle or lack of anesthetics. Either way it was bad. She didnt want to look at it, because it was a memory that not even Lucy could erase.

The scars probably gave her memories of the past back. As he looked at them he immediately saw what they were, as a doctor he could identify what the intention of nearly all of them would be. The rest he could only make a guess to what their purpose would be. As he looked at them he said "I'm sorry this happened to you Lucile.."
His hand gently glided along her body as he felt the scars with his fingers for a moment before he stopped. He looked her in the eyes for short time, seeing the pain hiding behind them. He takes a step back and turns around before removing his own shirt, revealing a couple of smaller scars, a side effect of living in this district, and a big gash starting from his upper shoulder blade, going down to his lower back. From all his scars, he felt it was kind of ironic the biggest one came from a patient of his. "Scars should not remind you of the pain you were once in.. they represent the battles you've won, challenges you've overcome." He thinks back to the war in Doomsville not that many years ago and takes his hand over a chest wound, feeling it as the memories of it came to him. But he knew as bad as his memories was, hers would be worse, he had no doubt in that. He turns around, revealing more scars, hailing from when he was a field surgeon. Giving her a smile he takes a step closer to her, taking her hand, he sees one that stands out, it was uneven, meaning either an unstable doctor or an unstable patient, he knew what it was. He lifts up her arm and gently kisses the scar a brief moment, looking up at Lucile. "Don't be afraid of your past.. it can only haunt you if you let it." He knew it was hypocritical of him saying it, but it didn't make it any less true. The point of him removing his shirt was not to gain any pity, it was in the hopes of her feeling less alone in her situation.

”The man that did this to me… tried to erase it from my memory… Lucy wouldnt let him, so the memory was sealed… branded within the marks of my very.. skin..” she said with a shaky voice that was clearly fighting a lot of oncoming emotions. And Lucy, furious of her own recklessness didn’t even attempt to stop it, because there was no stopping it now. She looked up at him to meet his eyes. She shook her head:” Being… sorry doesn’t justify… what had been done to me.” she whispered, where after she felt her jaw tighten as she clenched her teeth. It wasnt pointed towards him, she would never do that. It was more of a remark that what had happened was so horrible, that no sorry could erase the pain and regret that followed.
Before she could say more he turned around, opening his shirt, she got to see his scars. A late tear rolled down her cheek as she reached out for his back, running her fingers down the gash. She sighed a deep hurtful sigh as her eyes imprinted every scar that he had. She listened to him and a light sob escaped her mouth, because he was both right and wrong. She looks up at him as he turns around and she puts her hands on his cheeks, moving closer to his face. Her expression is melancholic, looking both happy and sorrowful.
“Our scars are different… Yours are of courage… Actual survival…” she pointed out with a strange tone, as if it was some sort of heroic act, which it in a way was. He had the chance to fight back and he went through it to the other side. He would be able to point out the scars and think back to gain a happy feeling about surviving. She then shook her head:” But mine..? Mine are from the boredom of a sadist… These?” she said, pointing at the scars on her upper arm. Her lip was shaking, her very being trembling from the uncomfortable feeling she had from actually voicing the scars. She let him go even though all her body really yearned for was comfort and protection. But she couldnt show it, even if she wanted to. Another tear rolled and she had to sink what felt like a rock in her throat:” He wanted to test how I could survive without being able to use my arms..” she said with a chuckle, the chuckle being confused yet amazed at the horror of it.
Her chest felt so heavy at this point. She was hurting and so was Lucy. It affected them both equally, confronting the one memory they had of the monster who had conjoined them, even though the conjoining part had been eradicated from their memory. For them it was so coincidental that they were left with the question Why? being unanswered. "There was no fight. There was no survival. I was barely lucky to bore him... That wasnt survival... Or strength... It was the luck of the draw." her voice clearly struggling at this point.
She moved her head away before Lucy spoke through her:” Lucile.. Don’t say his name..” she said out loud, so that Nicholas could hear the struggle between the two. Her voice was more of a plead than anything else. Lucile sobbed, trying to cover her face as she said:” The one and only monster… The flayer of Doomsville, my sister’s ally.” she presented with a voice that clearly had reached beyond the point of no return. She had to say it now. There was no way back, even if Nicholas attempted to stop her, she wouldn’t:” Ramsay Deverux.” She finished as the tears starting rolling.

He saw how much pain she had to be in, she was breaking down, this would be good in the long run, but right now it was torture. He was angry at himself, all the knowledge he had, all his studies, to no use for helping her, even his fucking healing power couldn't do anything. If there only was a way to transfer the pain, but that would require an ability. and he knew none with it. After he hear what she said, he disagreed with her. "That's where you're wrong, luck had nothing to do with it. What you went through, not just anyone could have survived that, it took true strength, more than i could ever hope to have. Look where you are now, you are alive, he is dead, there is nothing wrong with you. He didn't get bored of you, he couldn't break you, that's why you are here today. because at the end of the nightmare, you were the one leaving victorious, with the scars to prove it" He heard Lucy's voice. He almost forgot, she was here all along, she was experiencing the same as Lucile was, but she didn't want to confront it, she was about to say the name of the man responsible for this sadistic work. He saw her trying to cover her face, out of fear, or shame? He moved his hands to her, holding them tight as she spoke some familiar words. "The flayer of Doomsville" It couldn't be, no, there was no way.. "Ramsey Deverux" he whispered at the same time she said it. Just as the tears bursted from her eyes, he dragged her to him in a split second, holding one hand around the back of her head and the other stroking her back up and down slowly. "Ssshhh... You're alright, it's ok.. just let everything out" Gently caressing her head.
"Goddammit, another victim of this monster" Everything started to make sense now. The reason he couldn't find a motive for the experiment was because there was none. Ramsey was a psychopath that tortured people for the sheer fun of it, there was no reasoning behind it, ever. He had countless patients that were victims of Ramsey, many of them beyond repair. He carried no grudge against any man, his oath wouldn't let him. But Ramsey, the hate for him was unreal, the terror, death and fear he brought to the city. That's why the experiment sounded familiar to him, he had heard of them, some of the patients that actually had their mind barely intact, had gruesome things to say. Her fear was more understandable to him now that he knew where it came from. But that proved his point even more, being a victim of Ramsey, her mind was in better shape than others he met. She was strong, but even the strongest wasn't invincible. " I know what you went through was horrible, beyond gruesome, but you are never going back to that, you are stronger than you think. You will get through this, i will be here every step of the way" He tighten his grip on her as he leans his head over her shoulder.

Sv: Can ex-doctors heal a broken mind? Guess it's worth a try - Nicholas
Feeling his arm around her, it was very hard for her to keep crying. For some reason, just the touch of his, made everything so much better. She couldn’t bring herself to lift her arms though, but as she sniffled and sobbed, she also closed her eyes to focus on the warm embrace of his. She broke off the silence after a while, clearly have a better grip on her feelings now:“ People say he’s dead... But I cannot believe that. I must’nt believe that.” She said, wiping the tears off her face with her fingers.
But after all, the more she thought about it, the more relieved she felt for telling him. Not to mention that she was actually safe here. Like how would Ramsay find out about her whereabouts, if it wasn’t because Moon would inform him? But would her sister really do such a thing? Lucy wasn’t much for it, but they let Moon get the benefit of the doubt on this one. She shook her head lightly before a slight smile was on her face:” I’m happy though… Without all.. this horror… Our paths probably wouldn’t have crossed..” she stated before grabbing his hand.
All this sadness had to stop. And like a flick of a switch, she decided to look at the bright side, rather than dwell on the memory. Conclusion was that she was here now, with him and not cherishing that would be one of her biggest regrets to come. She wouldn’t let that happen, not at all. So she leaned in, kissed him softly on the lips, before grabbing the other hand of his, slowly dragging him towards his bedroom with a light chuckle:” Come with me.” she said in a low but cheerful voice.
