This couldn't be the end. It wasn't the end, but even Elena knew - that the odds where against her. She didn't get enough food or water and she could barely stand on her feet anymore. She wasn't the big target now, Elijah most have realized by now, that she was one of those unlucky souls, whom where eaten by the werewolf. The wolf saved her ass, but now Elena was back to walking the woods. She was so tired, when was the last time she slept? Maybe she should have stayed in the arena, at least she wasn't on a run there. She had bruises and scars all over her arms and legs. Her pants was turned to shorts after almost get eaten by coyotes. The blood ran down her legs, maybe the woods smell so good of flesh blood. She had no idea where she was, if only she could find Wade - or Tatia even. Maybe that weird hybrid kid. Just something that didn't made these woods seem like a freaking maze. Elena was most likely one of the smartest people she knew, only because of her ability - she knew that. It also meant she knew that she wasn't going in circles, so she wasn't that lost - just lost. Finally she ran out of air and hit the ground. It wasn't because she passed out just like that, she knew that she had to breathe slowly - so she did. And then she saw a shadow come close to her. Her eyes tried to get a clear picture, but it wasn't possible at this point- only few seconds later the darkness dragged her into a deeper sleep.

Ethan where finaly at a stage where he could control himself and his emotions again, it where not the time in the arena there had did this two him it was just himself, there had learn how to react and how to hide his emotions down agian it did not take long for him to come to that part agian though it was more the mermories of the place, he had seen it agian and agian,without some explantion to how,all he knew was never agian where he gonna be someones els toy, he went down to his camp agian, were he had just gotten himself to, maybe the reason he had made the camp was to have a place, only he knew where. Was maybe he was being paronoid maybe not, he just had given himself so much time to live this place, when he needed to think and that happend a lot for the time being. Ethan leaned his head back to a tree, where after he woke up with the sound of footsteeps nearby and a bump, normaly he would never care and just be done with this, and go back to sleep but something called to him somehow, he walked down the area he had, heard the sound from, where he saw a girl barly awake, pass out, and in that moment he did not think maybe, he did think but it was more what did he need to do, it was the woman that druged him, a part of him wanted to let her be dying on the ground let the animals kill her and be done with it a very small part of him said that, but the other where like help her and he listen to the other one, he took her up in his arms and carry her back to the camp where he took care of her, but when she would wake up, he would be getting more wood. As soon as he where back he would talk, "you okay Elena?"

It had been forever since she had get just this among of sleep. It was so hard being on the run - maybe it was more paranoia and not much need to run. Elena had never really felt free and was in doubt she would ever feel like it. How did you feel something that you never felt before? You wouldn't even know when the feeling hit you. It didn't take long, but long enough for her brain to tell her nerve system to wake up. She had been out longer then she should. It wasn't safe. Elena sighed as she pulled herself up on one of her elbows. She looked around to figure out if she knew the place. Ethan's voice got to her, made her look at him - confused.
"Okay is a very odd and yet normal word to choose for these kind of conversations.. I'm exhausted.. hungry.. and my feet are killing me for running the last few weeks," she answered as she took a deep breath. "I guess you aren't that mad for what happened with the arena.. since you know.. took me here - maybe you finally figured I wasn't the bad guy?" she added, hoping maybe there was a forgiving god. Elena wasn't really a believer in anything though, or in science she was. Her mind was brilliant in that way.
"I'm very tired Ethan.. I was so sure they would get me again.." her arm started to shake a little - sign her muscles were way to tired for this. It was like gel and soon she had to fall back into the bed again.
"Is it cold or is it just me? Don't tell me I'm getting a cold, I don't have time for being sick."

Ethan did not see a point at answer her about she being a bad guy, so he just let her talk and how she needed to talk. He first starte to worry when, he heard that she was getting cold. "Maybe, i have forgiven you or maybe i just dont holde you for what you did, like i said and like you said when we first meet how i could not care for anything."

He added, were after he looked at her, and tryed to find out what he could do to help. He turn around sat down ad her side were after he try to get some food in her, because after what he saw she was shaking. "Here eat something, and rest you safe for now, who was hunting you ?"

It came from him while he gav her food and put a very big cloth over her, "i have delete the trace, you left, so they would not know, where to find you." That was the truth though, "you still cold,"

He asked while he had done a few things he could turn himself and in that way maybe make some more, warm for her or he could go under the cloth with her and hold her. He fellt on her forhead it was cold, he then got under the cloth and hold her into him, he gave her a hug, more or less, and just let his body warm her up, after he had given her food and something to drink, "just rest now Elena you safe." He whisperet to her, while he hold her body warm,

She remembered every detail about their first meeting, every word they said and every reaction. That might have been the worse of her ability, remembering all the bad things you had done in life - like you just had done them. She didn't say anything to his words right there, she could try to say sorry and explain but she didn't want to repeat herself again. It was always the same words. Elena looked at him as he sat down next to her, she wasn't used to people taking care of her. Elijah would most likely just have isolated her till she was recovered, of course with the things she needed to find a cure for herself. But it was always like that, work every hour a day. Elena wasn't hungry but she knew why, her body had gotten used to not eating - it was impressive her brain kept working at this point, that might just be a plus to her ability. She tried to eat just a little, because she didn't want to upset her stomach by overeating.
"Who was hunting me? Only the people who tricked me to hurt others.. The only way they can go back to their old ways are with me.. and since every note I took is printed in my head, they can't hurt anyone.. that is also why they hunt me.. guess I shouldn't be surprised," she replied and sighed a little. It wasn't really that effect she wanted on other people, she fear and feeling of being hurt - she wanted to make people happy - she wanted to be happy. Elena looked a little shocked by the caring part, the cloth her pulled over her body to warm her up. It didn't help much and she didn't really answer him about the trace, right now she was more focused on her breathing - as her lips was shaking because of the cold.
"Yeah I am," she answered a little later. Her body tried to fight it, and it was easier to let herself sleep or just relax now - he said she was safe. If he wanted her dead he wouldn't have helped her. It took a while before he surprised her again. He went under the cloth with her and hold her. The physical contact was new to her, and it made her heart race a little faster. Her breathing started to become more and more relaxed - it was a rather strange experience for her. People didn't hug her, many years ago Wade could or would give her a hug - but it was the closest she had ever been to a person - if not by drugging them. As her breathing and heart-rate started to be more normal again, Elena could feel it be better. Her whole body and mind felt at peace - she had almost forgotten how it felt to feel safe. Elena started to feel her body warm up, but also her eyes close as the nerves had calmed down. Her eyes closed and she for the first time feel into a deep sleep.

How long she had slept she wouldn't know. She slowly woke up, feeling much better. Maybe it was because Ethan still had his arms around her, making her feeling this odd new emotion. Again it wasn't very normal for her to be cared for. Normal people was disappointed at her or wanted something from her. No one really did anything for her being, except Ethan. He made her feel safe, no one had ever done that before. Elena listened to his heart beat, it made her calm. A smile started to show on her face, it really did make her face lighten up. Who had seen her smile like this before?
"Thank you," she whispered to him - not knowing if he was at sleep or a wake - either way he deserved to know it.

It was not because he, did not care about other people, or did not show fellings he just fellt he and Elena had a connection he would never, say that out loud though more because it did not fit him in anyway, he had gotten trough live not caring at all for other people or thats,what he wanted people to think, an that he did not forgive people ffor what she did, but the truth was he knew the felling of being helpless.

He knew the felling that, if he could get trough life without care for anyone playing that person that gav no shit about everything, he knew that somehow that always hurted him, why did he help her now ?,

you proably ask youself. Well he proably finally find one he could care about and maybe she could opend him up so he would care more about fellow humans beings. He helped her, even though a small part of him would not have been a part of it, but somehow he got trough this. He fellt her head agian his chest, while she falled a sleep he try the best he could to stay awake, but he ended up falling into sleep.

The next day he woke up after hearing her whisper, wolfs ears, he was a wolf and that was a thing he could he could hear, more than a normale human would, he opened his eyes, and looked at her. and send her a smile, not a thing he normally did,
"You welcome how are you felling Elena," he asked while he looked at her with his eyes up and looking at her. "You fell rested ?, you want some food something to drink, beautiful, and how did you sleep ?" he asked a bit with his smile agian his charming smile not something he would use normaly.

His eyes shine for the first time, nothing could do anything agianst him on that, part he was happy that he knew her, and he hopped he would get a chance to learn more of her, that would be one of the best things he would could get, even though he just saved her he did not wanted anything off her, he just wanted to help her, maybe he was in love or maybe she just opened him up, whatever it was it did not do anything to change what he would do for her.

He woke up which didn't surprise her. She talked to him and she wasn't really the person he wanted to see the most - so why wouldn't he wake quick? He smiled at her, which was odd. Not many people did smile at her, it wasn't something she was use to - not at all. She would be lucky if Elijah even send her a half smile or what he did.
"I feel like someone hit me in the head with a very large rock and chased me trough the woods for weeks - exacly how it happened," she told Ethan as pulled herself a little up. Not that she didn't want to be here with him but it was weird for her in some way. Better if she was careful there.
"I'm fine, I thought we talked about this whole calling me beautiful thing?" She asked with a little half smirk. Something bothered her. Why was he so nice to her? She drugged him, even though she didn't give him the full dose back then. She was the only reason he had the strength to fight his way out, also she was the one who gave the hidden clues so he could escape. That part would be a secret, he didn't have to know what she did for him. It wouldn't change the things that happened to the other shapeshifters. Elena knew they couldn't hurt the shapeshifters the way they did when she was there - but Elijah was fierce and she knew he would find something else to do with them. This wasn't going to slow him down. "I should be doing.. my whole being here puts you in danger," she said a little sad as she looked at Ethan.

Ethan had his ears open he, heard everthing she said when she got up, she did not need to know why he forgave her. It was a question he never really, would could be sure on himself, she just had that thing off him it was not a thing he would say proably because he was frigten, about it.

Ethan sat up and smiled to her, when he saw her smirk, "is that so Elena." He answered a bit cooky, while he short after took his head and turn it to her agian.
"It really fits you, soo i would say its an okay, nickname wouldt you not?" He said, a bit cooky to her.

He then got himself up agian were, after he looked at her, "sooo yeah, at any rate i am happy you dropped by."

It came from Ethan short after he heard what, she was saying, "you dont have to protect me Elena, i can protected us both, it would not be long before they found me anyway," he then grabed her hand.

"Lets not get there, we are stronger when we are more, i know this woods i know everything that happens out, here, just think about it, if you go now it wont change anything so please stay." He said while he after a moment, looked at her agian.

"Just until i can go with you, i cant let you out of my sight i just cant, i hope you understand, or maybe at some point you know why i forgave you."
He said, while he then took her hand with his own and hold it, he then looked into hers an it kind of made his heart skip a bit faster it was more the felling he had never had before not in that way anyway.

"We got this Elena just trust me eh ?" He said and send, her a smile.

Elena rolled her eyes at him as they talked about the whole nickname thing. Beauty wasn't really a trait that matched the way she looked at herself - and it was a cliche too.
"Well if it fits you should only use it sometimes - I will let you if you can promise me that?" She said as she tried to strike a deal with Ethan. Elena listened to him as he looked at her. "I'm glad my legs gave up when they did," she admitted with a this little cute half smirk.

Maybe he was right. She didn't have to keep him safe or anyone safe. But it had always been like that. People often didn't know what she did for them till she stopped doing it. Often she was the bad guy, because no one would know the truth anyway. Something that made her feel something new, was the fact that Ethan wanted to protect her. No one ever wanted to protect her - well Elijah wanted to, but only to use her. This .. this was different, it was nice. He took her hand, which made her look down shortly at their hands. When she looked back in his eyes she wanted to say something, but she hated being this negative about everything - it was just how life were.
"Stronger in numbers only count when you have numbers.. I have me. I'm nothing but a chess piece in this, it's only gonna get worse Ethan," she told him as it was the truth. At least from her point of view. "If you know everything then please tell me everything - because I would love to know how to not run for the rest of my life," she pointed out. Little did he know about her ability, that was why she wanted to know. Because she never forgot a little thing. "I will stay," she said in the end. It was here or on her own - and on her own the only thing she would do, would be following her old path.

"You will learn soon, that I understand very easily." she told with a little smile. One thing was her words, because she didn't really understand why. Maybe she would soon, but for now she was confused that he was so nice to her. Why did he care? No one cared. Did she or should she even put her trust in Ethan. She could, it would be nice to let her guards down for once - but the fear that he would change his mind made her not do it. Elijah broke her trust, why would Ethan not do the same thing? Her parents broke her trust her friends the same thing. Trust was way to hard for her, but she had to give it a try - what did she have to lose?
"Okay, I will give it a shot," she answered.

Ethan looked at her and smilede,
"Sure Elena, i will then we got a deal on that part."

He said a bit cooky, were after he listen to her. He slowly try to figure out what she meant, not that he had a clan or a group himself, but he had managede.

But sometimes you would need a few more people with you, unless you could fine another way trough it, if you lived in the wilds, you would never be a target not before the day came, when there would be no woods left.

He then looked at her and sharede her smile,
"but you know thats how the world works, everyone is a piece in a game of chest Elena, the thing is what you would do with your life in the long run not, what people want for you starte care about yourself, i will be with you dont worry."

He said, right after he talked a little agian.

"btw thanks for staying."
He pointet out and smilede at her, he did not listen to what she said afterwards, while he realize, that he cared about her, for the, things she did too him, but right now he would not tell her, maybe later., maybe at some point he sighed,

"Yeah i will help you learn what you need to do, to get through this part of the world and be unseen, in the end it would help you so only i would have a chance for finding you."" He said giving her a smile.

"" i am glad that you chosse to stay, and i promise you when the time comes you should be able too make them pay, for what they did or stay in hiding it will be all up to you,"

He said with his charming smile, where after he kissed her quickly on the cheek without, knowing, or without thinking that it would trigger his own gift, and it did. Right after he got away a few cm, from her, and try to act normale, what had he just seen he did not know, not completly anyway.

"But I don't have people, I don't have the ability to make friends. People only want me for my brain - that's not even normal," she added to his words. "I was a target in the city and I'm a target in the woods - maybe I should just learn how to breathe under water and live there," Elena pointed out the idea for him. It sounded more peaceful than wandering around here.
"Why would you stay with me, no one ever stays with me - other than for some reason, like the want something for me," she asked a little skeptical. Why would she trust him? Why would he even give a damn about her being, no one did. Why should or would he? It didn't make any sense to her. She should just have stayed with Elijah, at least she would have some sort of purpose in her useless life. But she had already promised Ethan to stay with him, and she wasn't really a person who broke a promise. Elena wasn't a person who knew how to love or how to be loved - because she knew what she wanted to feel and she also knew she wanted people to hold her and love her. It was just always the thing with her, that she wasn't lucky at that. She did listen to him, when he said he would teach her to be unseen in these woods. So only he could find her? He clearly didn't know or understand how her brain worked. If he taught her something, her brain would easily figure out the rest, or even come up with an easier way or better way to do it. Elena knew that was how she had survived this far.
"Well I would love that," she answered him with a little lovely smiley.

Elena remembered every reason to make them pay, but it wouldn't be because of her own pain. It would be to make them suffer for what they had done to Wade - over what they had done to so many shapeshifters. Elena didn't care about herself, not at all really. Her biggest reason to stay alive was to make sure, that Wade was okay - he was the closest to a friend, but she failed him when she was in the arena. Not that she did anything else than trying to make him escape. He didnt know, because Elena herself was an expert on making it seem like she did nothing.
"That way will be good," added she with a little smile.
Her world stopped spinning in few seconds - she basically counted them - as he kissed her cheek. I was something that made her blush a little, because she wasn't prepared at all - or knew how to feel about it. The warm feeling that hit her in the fingertips and made her feel so whole for the first time in forever. It was new. A new feeling she wanted to learn so much more about.

Elena ran like hell, as Elijah was after her. He finally got her and his hand around her neck, made it unable for her to breathe. As soon as she ran out of air, he carried her with him back to the arena. Caged like any other shapeshifter, where she was forced to keep making the medication to drug her follow shifters. Elena herself was among them, and they hated her. The way they looked at her, like they could kill her any second. But she didn't have a choice - everytime she tried anything she would feel like her body would stop function.

Ethan looked at her tryed not to picture, anything els. He will not know how he, should, say it too her. He looked at her and send her a smile, she did not need to know what he saw.

He could not get her to know that, it would not be fair to tell her about it, at. any point he did not see, any points in telling her it. She should not know her furture an like everything, it could change, everything happend for a reason every event, every part every decision had a meaning. He could not risk it not now, not when he had this wierd fellings in him, he could not put her out in harms way, not now not ever.

"Yeah we can start now, or when you have learned the basics, you need to think and remeber, Elena." He saids as he took a part of her air, and made it back of, her ear.

This wierd felling this, part in it, yeah it did not send, every part he need to his own world his own picture, but some how he would need to stay calm and try not to make her think of it at any part, "so find you animal and turn into it, and then we can start."
He said as he send her a cute smirk, right after and then turn himself into his form.

Were there would be a human, or Ethan himself there was now a big, wolf with a grey pelse, he looked up at her with his mouth open, and waited for he to turn, it was kind of a clue.
