Help is needed - Wade

Wade had finally found some of himself once again. He finally felt at ease with himself, the same calm Wade was returning. It was a good feeling, to feel like you were finally going back to be you. Of course there was still some things that couldn’t be changed, never again could he never not feel protective of Tatia, her safety and well being was the only thing branded to his life-agenda. He was walking amoung the trees and nature as he felt the soothing calmness of the wind blowing in the trees and nature giving off it’s little yet powerful voice, almost like a musical piece for the right ears.
But all the calmness wouldn’t last long. A figurine in the distance would make sure of that. His eyes fixated on the outline of her right away. All alarm clocks started ringing by the swaying of her walk, the similarity from afar was too alarming. Almost automatically, his feet started moving for him, sprinting towards the woman. Had she not been standing with her back towards him, he would’ve noticed how she wasn’t her. But her standing the way she did, let his mind fool him.
Tatia hurt again? His heart was already aching at the thought. Almost instantly, he grabbed her by the shoulders, before turning her around, ready to face his dear significant other. The face that met him was not hers and his face changed from concerned to a relieved expression. His good side however, got the best of him as he grabbed her other shoulder and looked her in the eyes, hopefully catching her attention by his sudden approach. “Hey you? Tell me what’s up. What’s hurting?” he then asked her.
Whatever she asked, he could see that she was in no condition to be left on her own. He had to help her. So almost in a swoop, he grabbed her shoulders and legs, where he’d normally press Tatia all the way into his body, he more held her in a loose grip but tight enough to not drop her. He then started walking and glanced down at her with a rather sceptical look. There was some few traits that did remind him of Tatia, could it be that they were related in some sort of way? It didn’t matter now though, but he would definitely ask about it later. “So what’s your name? And how do you end up in the middle of the woods on your own in this sort of condition?” he casually asked her, seeing that now when he was helping her, he could at least know her name for future direct references.

He listened to her as he was walking. She seemed so sick and helpless. It was a wonder that she had managed to walk from where ever she came from. When she said that she didn’t know where she was, he decided to fill out the missing information, “Well, Selene, we'll get you somewhere safe now. My name's Wade and you’re in the middle of Ashenwood forest. Normally it’s not really that safe out here, especially not for a sick girl.” He concluded in the end as his eyes were planted ahead. There was something off about this whole situation, why did his mind work against him?
Something really reminded him of Tatia, that he already knew. Close family of some sort, was his guess. “Selene. Do you have a lastname as well?” he then asked to clarify his mind utter confusion. Ahead he spotted the cabin – The home of Tatia and him. He stepped inside before walking over to their bed, placing Selene on it. He turned around and went to the kitchen, gathering some pieces of cloth and a bucket.
“Stay where you are. I’ll be right back.” He told her as he had walked over to the bed, placing the ragged pieces on a table near the bed. Then he stepped outside, and walked over to a pond that was his usual spot for getting water. He was ever thankful that they had found a place to live with a functional pond, that also seemed to have drinkable water. It saved them a long walk for water every day.
He stepped back inside and put the bucket next to the bed before getting a chair. He looked at her and put his hand on her forehead, trying to figure out if she was having a fever or shivers. This was no sickness that he had encountered before and also the fact that he wasn’t exactly a healer nor doctor was helping them in any way. He just had to assume from back in the day with his former pack, The Black Hounds. How they usually treated the ill. “Tell me what you’re feeling. Just explain as well as you can.” He asked her with a rather concerned voice.

McNamara. So she was a part of Tatia’s family. He felt a slight wonder cross his mind. Which part of the family? Sister? Cousin? Maybe something completely different? He was going to wait with any type of interrogation, the priority right now was to make sure that whatever was happening to her, wouldn’t just end up killing her. He got a hold of the bucket with water and the pieces of cloth. He sat down at the bed and looked at her, listened as she explained what she was feeling at the moment.
When she mentioned burning, he remembered how hot she felt when he touched her forehead. He grabbed some of the cloth pieces and dipped them in the half cold water. He placed them on her forehead, wrists, and ankles. If anything, it would help a little with the fever for now. But he was careful, because he had no idea what was happening to her right now. He was hoping that cooling her a bit down would make it more pleasant for her. What she whispered simply made him chuckle lightly and grab her shoulder to let her know that he was there. “You’ll get through it. I’m with you every step of the way.” He assured her.
The similarity to Tatia. It wasn’t something that he could miss. But unlike Tatia, she had brown eyes – Actually more hazel-like but that was still brown. He scratched his neck as he tried to figure out what she could be. She was like them, that was for sure. The scent gave that away. “Let’s get you thinking on something else than the pain. The distraction could make it easier for you.” He suggested. Either way he was going to ask her some simple questions, just to keep her mind occupied.
He thought about questions to ask before he then started with a simple question. “Tell me a bit about yourself Selene. Are you from around here? If not, then where do you come from?” he asked with a curious voice. Tatia hadn’t mentioned a family member named Selene, so he was doubting that she knew Tatia.

Every nerve in her body was on fire, screamed at her it felt like the skin felt of. Was this how dying felt like? Where was the big show of memories? He tried to help her, taking care of the burning feeling in her system. The cold water helped, made her think more clear. He assured her she would get through it, how could he be so sure? Selene had to take his words for it, maybe try to believe in her survival. But Selene wasn't a fighter, her brother had protected her from that - till the day he made her leave. Thinking of something else? How did you think of something else, when it felt like your body was against you? His question made her brain focus of something else - maybe it wasn't that impossible. Something about herself, was there anything to tell. She had a job, a life - passions - she had the reason she walked into the woods.
"From what my brother remembered. He told me, that our mother died in a fight - and the Naitblidas took us in when I was two years old. Growing up, he was the only of us who had any memory of the rest of our family. He only mentioned their names, but I haven't been thinking about it in years.. he had, have a twinsister.. something with a.. but he just called her Fox.. I have no idea if she is alive.. if anyone is alive," she told as her mouth really didn't shut up - maybe it was because she was so exhausted, it was much easier to go into a deep talk. "It kind of sucks, the only family you have left kicks you out like an outcast, thinking it would keep me safe.. and I still after eleven years want to go to him, because I'm feeling this pain," confessed Selene as she sighed in pain. The pain made her laugh a little, just a tiny bit. She really just wanted to see Kubo's face one last time, if this was the end. Then she remembered something, a person in the city had saved her skin -
because she looked like someone.. What was her name.. There is was.
"Tatia.. right?" She asked slowly. It started to make sense to her. Razor's words and Kubo's stories from the past. Selene felt like her body was starting to shake a little.
Then it was like the darkness took over, she lost the ability to see - which made her heartbeat beat faster than ever. She looked around tried to find something - anything. But it wasn't possible.
"I can't see.." Selene panicked - then she lost the ability to feel. She couldn't feel the  pain - she couldn't feel anything. It was scary. So freaked out by this her heart gave after - made her brain explode with fear. So she closed herself down. Passed out a little as it slowed down. She was still breathing, and her heartbeat slowed down - just a little. She was out for almost half an hour, before she slowly started to wake up.  She wasn't sure it was over, but as she opened up her eyes - she was able to see again. The pain was gone, the only thing left was a little warm feeling.
"That was tense..." she said trying to sit up just a bit. She looked at Wade, waiting for him to tell what happened, did he do something? There was another feeling under her skin, she could feel the strength in her veins.
